Making a change

Making a change in our life sometimes feels like a lot of work but what it really requires is strong will and determination.

When I was younger I used to dream about this lovely world where everything just falls into place but as I grew up, I realised that the way you make you bed, you lie on it as my father used to sing to us. Now I know that one has to work extra hard to achieve their dreams and it a long road to success but we have to persevere This is me. What do you think?

  1. Yes. I really think so too. Sometimes I wish I could go back to when I was a child. All things were taken care of. But now, there are always things to plan for, targets to achieve...it's like it never stops.
However (this thought just came to mind), there is still room for us to have child-like minds, knowing that our Father has all in control and He'll give us the strength for each day to achieve success.

  2. Looking at life through a child's eyes would be a phenomenal fete, thanks to the junk we collect and our own perceptions amassed through this journey called life. In my reflections I think my wonderful parents tended to cushion their children so much that we got hypoglycaemic when we were released in life. Perhaps we should have been born like lions, you get cubs, birth them, feed them protect them teach them to hunt, baby sit for a while and then let them go ready to deal with surviving in the world.

True change is interesting! The crux of change is who is guiding you, what are you changing to, why are you changing and how does this impact those around you and your relationship with God. We were created to worship God and through salvation the Holy Spirit is placed in us to work with us and change us to restore us to our original relationship with God. We cooperate with Him then we are good to go to see effective and affective change.

Procrastination which is often my middle name demands that I have complete answers when I need to change, however life has taught me a good idea seldom means its God's idea and many times when God needs to introduce change in your life does he tell you the details No… My conclusion is achieving success is stemmed in Matthew 6:33 and always being in tune with the Holy Spirit to make the right decisions an also knowing we are not perfected and we may make decisions that are wrong. Besides God has already confirmed that we are victors and successful the challenge is to see things through the eyes of God
